This spring we have been gifted with our first decent bloom of elderflowers, inspiring us to make some delicious infused honey. Elderflower has been traditionally used for centuries as medicine to help with common colds, sinusitis and hayfever just to name a few. We love honey so why not make it with a twist, enriching flavours and boosting the immune enhancing properties.
What you will need:
330ml Jar (you can use whatever size jar you have)
Enough fresh elderflowers to lightly fill jar
300ml honey (or enough to fill your jar size)
Directions:
Use the infused honey as you would usually. We love using it to sweeten our tea, making salad dressings, making desserts and medicinally to help relieve sore throats and coughs.
There are many amazing herbal infusions that you can create which are loaded with many healing properties. The process is really simple to make yet packed with so many delicious benefits… we hope you enjoy.
